The Dragon Boat Festival, also called Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. For thousands of years, the festival has been marked by eating zong zi (glutinous rice（糯米）wrapped to form a pyramid using bamboo or reed leaves) and racing dragon boats.
It is to recall one important politician and poem who made great contribution to country in Chu and died in Miluo Jiang. It is said that many people to mourn him when he was died,also every year do same to through Zongzi into river to feed fish for fear fish to eat Qu Yuan's body.
Here Chinese goverment to develop our traditional festivals and give all Chiese people three days' holiday to celebrate this special day.
